Sacraments
Sacraments are outward and visible signs of inward and spiritual grace, given by Christ as sure and certain means for receiving God’s grace.

Baptism
According to the Book of Common Prayer, “Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ’s Body the Church. The bond which God establishes in Baptism is indissoluble.”
Baptism is incorporated into regular worship services on specified Sundays during the year and occasionally at other times. It is the outward and visible action that connects a person to God in a covenant relationship and so belongs in public worship rather than private ceremony.
Baptism is offered on the first Sunday after the Epiphany in January (the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord), at the Great Vigil of Easter (the night before Easter Sunday), on the Day of Pentecost (usually in May or June), at our celebration of All Saints’ Sunday in November and on select Sundays during the summer and early fall.
Baptism preparation classes for children may also be arranged by contacting the clergy.
Confirmation
Confirmation in the Episcopal Church is the rite for baptized persons who are ready and prepared to make a public affirmation of their faith. Confirmation is not required for church membership, but it is a significant, public way to affirm your connection to the church. Adults wishing to take this step should connect with a member of the clergy; youth, contact Missy Roetter.
Funerals
We seek to be present with one another through times of sorrow and loss. The language of liturgical tradition helps us express what can be so difficult.
At Trinity we are always ready to meet the individual’s or family’s needs, whether it’s a small gathering of friends to say prayers and give thanks for a life well lived or a large, formal funeral. Funerals often include Holy Eucharist and frequently music.
We also offer space for family and friends to receive people before and after a funeral. It gives people the opportunity to greet family members and friends, to share food and to offer a prayer.
Columbarium
The Christian church has from its earliest years provided care and guidance in the burial of its members.
Trinity continues this tradition by providing a columbarium, an arrangement of permanent niches for the interment of cremated remains. We have a limited amount of niches in our columbarium.

Weddings
The Celebration and Blessing of a Marriage is one of the great joys of parish life, as the parish community surrounds and supports a couple as they begin their life together. Trinity Church gladly works with couples who are parishioners or whose families are members of the parish to prepare for these celebrations.
Those who are not yet parishioners of Trinity Church who wish to be married here are expected to attend Sunday services and become acquainted with the parish community before contacting the Trinity Church office and clergy to inquire about using Trinity Church as the location for their wedding.
The Celebration and Blessing of a Marriage at Trinity Church is a service of Christian worship, and marriages performed here follow the service outlined in the Book of Common Prayer. In the Episcopal Church it is required that at least one of the parties be a baptized Christian.
Weddings of those who are not pledging members of Trinity Church may be considered at the discretion of the clergy of the church.
