Albie Marco, Finance Administrator at Trinity for the last thirteen years, accepted the renamed position of Director of Finance and Administration, and started on June 1, directly after Parish Administrator Kevin DePrey’s retirement on Thursday, May 31.
Albie joined Trinity’s staff in 2005, bringing years of experience working in church communities, particularly in the area of finance. He has worked as a bookkeeper of Whitewater Valley Presbytery (Indianapolis), financial consultant of North United Methodist Church (Indianapolis), and internal auditor of Silliman University Church (Dumaguete City, Philippines). Before his immigration to the United States, he practiced as a certified public accountant in Dumaguete City in the Philippines.
His education includes Bachelor of Laws (equivalent to J.D.), Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, and Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Management, all from Silliman University, Philippines.
Albie moved to the U.S. in 2003, shortly after marrying his college sweetheart, Aileen who works as the Rehabilitation Services Manager at Greenwood Meadows. Both of them were born and raised in the Philippines, and together they are parents to Aaron (13), Alben (11), Cheska (5) and AJ(3). The older three children are current students of St. Richard’s Episcopal School and AJ will begin attending in the Fall. Albie and his family are members of Southport Presbyterian Church. His family loves to travel, go camping, and trying new food.
He looks forward to the new challenges this new position brings and is excited to help Trinity’s parishioners in any way that he can.
“I am excited to be a part of making sure that Trinity is not only vibrant but also relevant, not only fiscally sound but also spiritually sound, not only a provider of social services and outreach but also a training ground for God’s servants.”
