Trinity has a Seminarian Intern for outreach

Jennifer Fisher will join Trinity as the Seminarian for Outreach in early September. She’ll be spending 15 hours a week working with clergy, staff, and lay leaders on service projects and outreach initiatives.

Jennifer is the former Associate Pastor of Forefront Church in Brooklyn New York. She co-founded that community in 2011/2012 first as a volunteer, then a part-time staff member, and was ordained as Associate Pastor in 2014.

In 2017 Jen, her husband, and 8-month old son, made the difficult decision to relocate to Indianapolis, Indiana, where she is now earning her Master of Divinity at Christian Theological Seminary with certificates in Yoga & Spirituality and Marriage and Family Studies. She received a full scholarship and stipend to pursue her education thanks to the Lily Endowment and The Discipleship Project. While in school full-time, she continues to serve as a Co-Director of Launch, a progressive church-planting organization and as the Events Coordinator for the With Collective, where she’s planning the fall national conference this November featuring Nadia Bolz-Weber, Brian McLaren and more.

She has an extensive professional background in producing, event management, and non-profit leadership in NYC and around the country. An artist at heart, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Performance from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a certificate in Shakespeare studies from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
Jennifer is a native of Shorewood, IL and was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

“I met Mother Julia in January when she presented at Christian Theological Seminary. She talked about Trinity Haven and the thriving outreach ministry at Trinity, and we connected over our recent moves from New York City. My family and I are excited to get to know the Trinity community, to learn from an established church doing incredible work in their neighborhood, and to contribute to your mission through our gifts for service and hospitality. I really feel so grateful that God led me to Mother Julia and the good people I’ve already met at Trinity. I look forward to meeting and serving alongside all of you in the year ahead!”
