Mother Kirsten is a professor at Marian University and Bexley Seabury Seminary. According to her bio, she is “a theologian who earned her Ph.D. from Marquette University in 2020, defending her dissertation via Zoom from her living room. Her research specializes in re-reading early Christian resources to address contemporary questions, such as: why does reimagining a theology of beauty matter? How do the prayers of the mystics address ableism? What does Mary’s role in the incarnation mean for theologies of gender? In between pondering questions like these with students and parishioners or keeping up on hikes with the world’s best dog Lucy, Kirsten can be found occasionally doing her laundry, taking in live music, and trying to garden.” She is a priest in the Diocese of Northern Indiana and is licensed in our own diocese as well.
