Learning the music of the church is very much a part of our core value of education. Singing in the choir includes learning about sacred scripture, church history, theology, liturgy, spirituality, and prayer… not to mention vocal technique, breathing, posture and deployment, and other musical skills.
Choir members have a wide range of experience and ability, from professional musicians to children having their first musical training. It’s a mixed inter-generational choir of professionals and volunteers—adults and teens—who love to sing.
Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday mornings. The choir sings Sundays and holidays, September through June, plus concerts and special events.
Children third grade (age 8) and up are invited to join the Choristers, our children’s choir program. Choristers learn musical skills through a curriculum developed by the Royal School of Church Music. They sing three Sundays per month during the school year and participate in summer choral pilgrimages. Rehearsal is on Tuesday evenings from 4:30 to 6:30 with snack provided by Chorister parents. Contact Trinity’s director of music if your child is interested in singing.
