Paula Means, Chair of Mapleton Fall Creek Community Development Corp., will lead an exploration and discussion of the Mapleton Fall Creek neighborhood: partnerships, relationships, assumptions, policies, housing, schools, businesses, transportation, and more.
Trinity Episcopal Church is hosting a conversation with its congregration and the broader community, open to anyone who is interested. We believe that when we create space for openness, mutual respect, and a desire to strengthen relationships, we can create thriving abundant neighborhoods.
Mapleton-Fall Creek is the historic Indianapolis neighborhood within the triangle formed by Meridian, 38th, and Fall Creek. Undergoing gentrification and planning initiatives, it is arguably the most diverse neighborhood in Indianapolis, with a wide range of housing styles, lifestyles, and identities. Community life is anchored by major institutions (State Fairgrounds, Children’s Museum, Ivy Tech, churches, etc.) and connected by a long history of community organizing.
