Epiphany House Blessings
Epiphany House Blessings
The Epiphany blessing of chalk on houses is a centuries old tradition where priests visit the homes of parishioners after the Feast of the Epiphany.
This year your clergy would like to bring this tradition back in a limited and pandemic-friendly way. The home visits and blessings will be brief, outdoors, socially distanced and consist of some prayer, a blessing on your house, and marking in chalk on the threshold of your home the ancient formula of 20 + C + M + B + 21.
A recent story about this tradition can be read here: Episcopal News Service.
