The Reverend Dr. Teresa Angle-Young to join Trinity staff for four months: Interim Associate for Congregational Strategy

The Reverend Dr. Teresa Angle-Young, an ordained Methodist pastor, will be joining Trinity’s staff for a four-month period to assist with congregational development and strategy.

As Interim Associate for Congregational Strategy, Rev’d Angle-Young will be part of the day-to-day ministries of the parish: teaching, preaching, assisting with pastoral care, etc., while working with me and parish leaders on a Strategic Planning process to guide us into our second centennial.  A clergy coach and church planter, Rev’d Angle-Young will provide a fresh new perspective on this exciting time in the life of our parish.


The Rev. Dr. Teresa Angle-Young is an International Coach Federation certified, United Methodist Endorsed Coach, and an ordained clergy in the United Methodist Church. She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing, an M. Div. from Emory University, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Preaching from Aquinas Institute of Theology.

Dr. Angle-Young has taught preaching and theology at Emory University. She frequently holds workshops and coaches clergy and laity on worship, church planting, leadership development, children’s ministry, relationship, and wellness. Dr. Angle-Young is a former church planter and has a passion for helping churches become visible in their communities. With over 4000 hours of professional coaching experience with clergy, she is a nationally recognized coach, speaker, and workshop presenter for several mainline denominations.

In addition to theology, Dr. Angle-Young is a lover of science. She has certificates in Nutrition and Cancer, Environmental Medicine, and Foundations in Botanicals from the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She is a Certified Warriors at Ease Meditation teacher (for military veterans) and an iRest teacher (meditation protocols for trauma).

Teresa is married to Phil Young, Operations Manager for a multi-state real estate law firm in Atlanta, and mother to Andrew Long, a medical school student in New York, Rebecca Long, a stylist in Atlanta, four dogs, and three chickens. She enjoys vegetarian cooking, fitness, hiking, reading, writing, and art.
