A Hundred Ways to Serve for Trinity Yarn People

A Hundred Ways to Serve for Trinity Yarn People (aka Trinity Comforters)

In honor of Trinity’s 100 years, we would like to craft 100, or more, hats for the coming winter. These hats would be welcomed at various Trinity outreach efforts like Sunday dinner and Trinity Haven.

Trinity Comforters has a huge stash (that’s crafters’ talk!) of yarn and simple patterns available. You can use your own patterns, and yarn if you wish. We are looking for adult size hats in machine washable yarns. We could arrange some work bees if people are interested.

If you used to know how to knit or crochet but need a refresher course or would like to learn we can help!

There will be baskets with yarn, patterns and sign up sheets in the Cloister room.

Please contact Patty Gotway if you need any additional information.

Adrian Matejka, Indiana Poet Laureate, at Butler on June 17

Please join Trinity’s partner, Horizons at St. Richard’s to hear Adrian Matejka, Indiana Poet Laureate, on June 17th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Butler University’s Shelton Auditorium.

Matejka is an associate professor at IU and is the author of three collections of poetry. The Big Smoke, his third collection, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry.

This event will spotlight Matejka’s work with a presentation and reading, following by a Q & A.

There is limited seating, so please reserve your spot through our event page (you must click “Get Tickets” to reserve seating).

We are excited to share this opportunity with you. This event is open to the public, so please forward if you know others who may be interested.
